Ferrari 458 Speciale

The new Ferrari 458 Speciale is definitely the most special Ferrari ever built, being much faster, more reliable and much more powerful than its predecessor, the 458 Italia. Yet another Italian masterpiece, the 458 Speciale is loaded with tons of improvements that go hand in hand with a multitude of bells and whistles that were not deemed possible by drivers who have tried the 458 Italia.
The Speciale turns in quicker, shifts faster and definitely stops shorter. Thanks to the 200 fewer pounds and 35 extra horsepower, this model is much swifter than the Italia. Moreover, the creative engineers from Ferrari have improved the Italia’s chassis with a fresh dose of engineering and technology. The secret behind the success of the new Ferrari 458 Speciale is a unique piece of software designed to work wonders: side-slip control. This groundbreaking feature is an algorithm that determines the car’s slip angle in real time and then sets a new slip angle based on the car owner’s driving style. Side-slip control alters the car’s temperament based on traction control (F1-Trac) and electronically controlled rear differential (E-Diff). This greatly increases the stability of the vehicle, leading to perfect maneuverability. You won’t have to worry anymore for your safety if you are planning to try some crazy maneuvers.

The 458 Speciale boasts 605 horsepower, 25 more than its predecessor. There is no wonder that this model won one of the most prestigious awards in the automotive industry- 2013 Supercar of the Year by Top Gear Magazine. Its lean, sculpted and muscular form feature movable aerodynamics coupled with Alcantara & carbon fibre trim. Together, they make the 458 Speciale a beautiful car that is well able to tune with its performance credentials.

The body has been completely redesigned, with deep air channels to assist cooling and new composite bumpers for increased aerodynamics and enhanced protection. However, the thickness of the glass has been dramatically reduced in order to cut weight.

All of these features and changes mean nothing without the unique and specially-developed Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires. 0-62 mph takes less than 3 seconds, while its top speed can exceed 330 km/h (202 mph). The huge 4495 cc engine is specially created to power up this beauty built for speed, making it run like no one else. The Speciale is well known for boasting huge power under the hood, with its crazy 4.5 liter V-8 that works on a sky-high 14:1 compression ratio, new pistons, revised combustion chambers, reshaped intake ports, shorter intake runners and new carbon-fiber airbox.

The price start at over $330,999
