Breitling for Bentley limited edition GMT V8 watch
After last year’s partnership between Bentley Motors and Breitling, the pair comes together yet again before the launch of the new Bentley GT V8, with its limited edition V8 watch. For the duo that created equal master class watches such as the Supersports ultra-light body watch and the Ice Speed record chronograph, they have once again come together for this limited edition timepiece, of which only 250 will ever be out to wear, with each bearing a price tag of $10,590. For a car which goes well over $200K, seems rather reasonable. Like most Breitling timepieces, this one has been given the rather sporty yet classically aesthetic dial design, which features this diamond engraved finishing, along the round surface. With a 49mm wide steel dial, the watch does take up considerable space on the wearer’s wrist, but then with so many functionalities, there is little one can do with smaller dials. This would mean displaying clearly, the names of the 24 major cities around the world on the red ring, whose time zones are also covered by the watch. Other than that there is the 30-minute counter, 6-hour counter, 5-minute counter, and even a 30-seconds display, all packed in within the space. If noticed more closely, there is also a very intricately worked ‘Breitling for Bentley’ branding, near the 12 ‘o’clock slot. Fabrication in this watch would include ebony on the dial, sapphire crystal covering for the casing, and rubber strapping for the bracelet. The movement is centered on the Breitling Caliber 47B which 38 jewels and a beating rate of 28,800 vibrations per hour.
